Multi-storey apartment and commercial building 8 city centre apartments &a commercial unit in the heart of Ostrach village
An apartment block with commercial use was recently built between our main site in Eberhardzell and the new plant in Messkirch, in which our ceiling system best wood CLT BOX - CEILING FS was used. The ceiling elements are extremely load-bearing, resource-efficient and ensure a good indoor climate. In addition, the hollow box elements with a high degree of prefabrication and visible undersides are characterised above all by excellent sound insulation - aspects that were particularly important to Wood Living Wohnbau GmbH here. The company constructed a building in the municipality of Ostrach in which eight residential units and a bakery with a catering area have found a home.

The CLT BOX - DECKE FS fulfills all the properties required for use in multi-storey residential construction. The good sound insulation is a special feature. The sound insulation in combination with the sophisticated floor structure achieves an excellent impact sound value in the low frequency range.
Sound insulation and living comfort Perfect for multiple units
As the flats in the apartment building are intended to fulfil high living standards, good sound insulation was particularly important here. Which is why the building was dimensioned to KOMFORT level in accordance with the sound insulation manual from the timber information service. (This sets the standard impact sound level at L'n,w ≤ 46 dB)
It also focuses on impact sound insulation in the range between 50 and 100 Hz. Although this is not taken into account by the standard, it is crucial for the quality of stay in a residential building. This is because a large proportion of the sound energy emitted by a person walking barefoot or in socks or children playing is transmitted in this frequency range.
The modern three-storey building shows that high-quality sound insulation can be realised very well in timber construction when high-performance components and good planning come together.
